Openbilanci
A clear and exhaustive overview of how the money of Italian municipalities is managed.
Every year, municipalities send their budgets to the State General Accounting Office, which makes the data available in the Public Administrations Database (Bdap). We extract the data, process it, and make it available on Openbilanci, our online platform entirely dedicated to municipal budgets. The data can be freely browsed, downloaded, and used for analysis, aimed at data journalism or consultation.
Through Openbilanci, we carry out a civic monitoring activity on the data, with the aim of also verifying the budget preparation work by the administrations. The goal is to increase knowledge about the management of public resources.
