Openparlamento

The application that has been monitoring parliamentary work since 2009, in a completely new version for the current legislature.

Votes, original indicators, attendances, and much more. Openparlamento is the most advanced tool for following the entire legislative process.

In our country, legislative power belongs to the parliament, but in recent legislatures, the government has increasingly taken a predominant role. The vast majority of approved texts are indeed presented by members of the executive branch. This is why we have created a new version of our historical project, Openparlamento, focusing on the key aspects that constitute the legislative process.

From the extraction and analysis of data related to votes, rebel votes, and absences and presences, our goal is not only to monitor the legislative process but also to reconstruct how our parliamentarians move, to analyze the health status of the government. The platform features original indicators to measure the progress of the legislative process, cohesion within parliamentary groups, and between the majority and minority.

Furthermore, the publication of a new data journalism article continues each week to delve into the relationships between the country's main political institutions and the activities they carry out.
