The Observatory on Educational Poverty provides data, analyses, and visualizations to promote an informed and structured debate on the condition of minors in Italy. We collect and analyze data on services aimed at children and adolescents at the local level regarding schools, culture, sports, and social services. We monitor related social and territorial phenomena, such as exclusion, gender gaps, and demographic trends.

To do this, we have surveyed, collected, and standardized dozens of databases from multiple public sources at the local level. Our analyses feed a weekly column made of data journalism articles, maps, and reports. The project is carried out in collaboration with the social enterprise Con i Bambini as part of the Fund for contrasting child educational poverty.
